Hollywood Private Hospital
Hollywood Private Hospital is an acute-care private teaching hospital situated in the Perth suburb of Nedlands, in Western Australia. The hospital has 474 beds for in-patients and day stays and provides care for private patients, including the privately insured, entitled veterans and the self-insured.
Services
Hollywood's services include surgery, medicine, psychiatric care, rehabilitation and palliative care. The hospital is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
History
- 1942 - 110th Military Hospital
- 1947 - Repatriation General Hospital, Hollywood
- 1994 - Purchased by the Ramsay Health Care Group and commenced operations as the Hollywood Private Hospital on 24 February 1994
- 2002 - Opening of Sylvia Perry Wing containing the John Carroll and Clifford Sadlier Wards
Building
The hospital contains two wings: the Vivian Bullwinkel Wing and the Sylvia Perry Wing. All wards and units are named after West Australians who were awarded the Victoria Cross and George Cross:
